Thanks for your submission, Trina! You have really put in some solid work here. Ironically – or probably not – a very close friend of mine took her life this week…with pills…so digging in here to your text was very difficult but also very necessary to my processing.

A few pieces of feedback:

1. I like the way that you use your reflection questions to move the reader to the next topic/thought. I think that if you really want them to be a part of interaction with the book, you should a. leave a little space for them to answer, and b. add to the questions that are just “yes” or “no” answers – maybe with a “why or why not?” at the end of the question to make your reader think further than a simple yes or no.

2. Be careful to note where your new chapters begin with your titles included at the top of each chapter

3. Now is a good time to check alignment with your outline. How closely have you followed? Are you ready to move into your victory chapters? It feels a bit open-ended where you are now.

Thank you so much for digging into this process. I know this has not been easy and the sensitivity of the topic, particularly in our African American Culture likely made it that much more difficult. I am proud of you. Let’s keep writing and see how much more you can knock out before Tuesday.
