HOLINESS IN 21ST CENTURY
What is holiness? Holiness is observe as clean, morally blameless, sanctify, set aside for the Lord, and to live a Holy life in conformity to the moral precepts of the Bible and not the sinful ways of the world. We as Christians must remember that “without holiness no one will see the LORD.
OLD TESTAMENT
Holiness is a mandate and not an option for all Christians. Several times in the bible one will find verses where God mandated that His people are to be holy in Old and New Testaments; to name a few:
For I am the Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye shall be mine.
NEW TESTATMENT
But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation (behavior).
Because it is written, Be ye holy: for I am holy.
The Word, Jesus, made flesh, is our example of how we should live a holy life. He came into the world to do the will of the Father; so must we. Jesus was tested in every area of His life spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, desires, memory recall and imagination; yet He remain holy.
