BOOK INTRODUCTION Years ago as a new convert, I sat in the choir listening to a quest speaker speak on the subject Holy Spirit, Baptism of Holy Spirit and Holiness. As I sat there, listening intently to the speaker, I heard him asked the church how many wanted to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. I raised my hands and immediately began to pray; Lord I want your Holy Spirit, but, I don’t want to dance and speak in tongues. Well, Heavenly Father didn’t answered that prayer. Many in the church said that I was a sight to behold, because I was trying to hold my legs, to try to stop dancing, and at the same time I was trying to hold my mouth to prevent speaking in tongues. Yes, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. This was my introduction to the Holy Spirit and my life journey began in Holiness. I learned that holiness is a commandment, that there are two types of Holiness for man: 1. Ceremonial 2.Ethical and Spiritual. And as Christians we’re to be separate from the world because we belong to God and share Jesus’ holiness. Therefore, is holiness required in the 21th century, are our souls (Intellect, Desires, Emotions, Memory Recall and Imagination) required to be holy, our bodies, our conversation (behavior), and speech (mouth, words during conversations), and lastly been representatives of the Kingdom of God to advance His kingdom. Let’s begin this fantastic voyage together. |
